BLACK, WHITE & LACE ALL OVER

When I saw these trousers at Nordstrom recently I thought they were the perfect "winter white" pant. For a few years now it has been all about the skinny so I find this wide leg really refreshing. As all of you know I love black so the detail of the feminine black lace had me sold before I even looked at the price tag. I was happily surprised when I saw they were under $100.

Since the pants are the statement I paired them with a Rebecca Taylor jacket I have from a few years back that pulls in my waist really nicely and has similar lace accents like the pants. I wanted to keep the look sleek so I wore my go-to lingerie like tank by Only Hearts. It's a thick enough fabric to wear on its own and slinky enough to wear under suiting.

If you are petite or want to make your legs look long and lean a high waist trouser or nude pumps always help. I think this would be a great look for a Christmas Eve service or any other holiday party thats on the more casual side. I kept the accessories minimal and my hair down and straight.

Let the festivities begin :)

XOXO

Ari

TURTLENECK WISH LIST

November 17, 2015 Ari Knight
  1. Velvet by Graham & Spencer
  2. 3.1 Phillip Lim
  3. Tibi
  4. Chicwish
  5. Chelsea28 at Nordstrom
  6. J Crew
  7. Theory
  8. Rebecca Taylor
  9. Maje

Lately I have been absolutely obsessed with turtlenecks. Especially the baggy/cozy/sweater kind. I am always freezing so I am loving the heavy knit ones. I have compiled a list of my favorites for you!

I just recently purchased #1, I think the fringe detail is really fun. I typically am an XS but opted for a small so it fits a little boxier. The cashmere is really light weight and super soft. Put it on your christmas list, it's perfect.

POLKA DOTS AND STRIPES

November 2, 2015 Ari Knight

Top: Theory (solid version) / Jacket: Rebecca Taylor / Leggings: Lysse / Shoes: Nike

Where to start, all of these pieces are some of my all time fav's. This jacket was quite the find....after not pulling the trigger fast enough it was sold out, devastating. Fast forward a few months and it was on guilt 60% off. Woahhh that never happens. It's tweed with leather piping, silver hardware and fits perfectly. Rebecca Taylor is one of my favorite contemporary designers. Her pieces are girly and always have cute subtle details, without fail there are always a few items I am lusting over each season.

I think this top's crosshatch pattern is really fun! It layers really well under most of my jackets and because it's slightly longer I love pairing it with my leggings. These are a faux leather version and are so flattering (on everyone, I promise) They have fun seams that don't cut off your legs in weird places and are washable...yes you heard me. Spill away on your night out dancing with no regrets the next morning. Flip them inside out and into the washing machine they go.

Now for the final touches...Jewelry, shoes and a fun lip color. My rings are a mix of Vanessa Mooney and Lisa Freede. When I was a jewelry buyer for a small boutique I was consistently loving what both of these brands had to offer. The shoes were an easy choice, the polka dots played well of my printed blouse and the lips were my pop of color on an all black and white look. This color is Shocking Pink from Nars,

Hope your hallo-hangovers have passed and your Monday's aren't too bad.

XOXO,

Ari
