This pajama print blouse is everything! I don't often wear print so you know I am loving something when I do. I was immediately drawn to the colors (navy, tomato red & white) and it's fun cross between polka dot and paisley. Gotta love a relevant bold print on such a classic silhouette.

I think most people would be nervous to add a bold lip here but I wanted to show that during the holiday season it's fun to spice it up a bit. I also added my cropped fur vest to make the outfit a little more festive.

On bottom I wore a fun medium-wash denim that was lighter than the navy in the blouse and had some fun destruction on the knee with my go-to nude pumps. I love this look for a holiday happy hour celebration with co-workers or a gift exchange with friends.

XOXO

Ari

POLKA DOTS AND STRIPES

November 2, 2015 Ari Knight

Top: Theory (solid version) / Jacket: Rebecca Taylor / Leggings: Lysse / Shoes: Nike

Where to start, all of these pieces are some of my all time fav's. This jacket was quite the find....after not pulling the trigger fast enough it was sold out, devastating. Fast forward a few months and it was on guilt 60% off. Woahhh that never happens. It's tweed with leather piping, silver hardware and fits perfectly. Rebecca Taylor is one of my favorite contemporary designers. Her pieces are girly and always have cute subtle details, without fail there are always a few items I am lusting over each season.

I think this top's crosshatch pattern is really fun! It layers really well under most of my jackets and because it's slightly longer I love pairing it with my leggings. These are a faux leather version and are so flattering (on everyone, I promise) They have fun seams that don't cut off your legs in weird places and are washable...yes you heard me. Spill away on your night out dancing with no regrets the next morning. Flip them inside out and into the washing machine they go.

Now for the final touches...Jewelry, shoes and a fun lip color. My rings are a mix of Vanessa Mooney and Lisa Freede. When I was a jewelry buyer for a small boutique I was consistently loving what both of these brands had to offer. The shoes were an easy choice, the polka dots played well of my printed blouse and the lips were my pop of color on an all black and white look. This color is Shocking Pink from Nars,

Hope your hallo-hangovers have passed and your Monday's aren't too bad.

XOXO,

Ari
